Ceiling Roses and Ceiling Medallions
Ceiling Roses and Ceiling Medallions were originally designed as both decorative and functional plaster sections, used above candleabra. Larger designs had raised centres, with gradual sloping to the outer rim. This
was designed to disperse smoke and gases away from the centre of the room.
Today's environment with electric lighting sees the use of ceiling roses as a purely decorative exercise. In all probability any room featuring these designs will surely be complemented by coving, and panel mouldings to offer a complete period effect.
Look at the choices below and choose something which suits the mood you are creating.
The largest ceiling roses are nearly a metre across and suit hotel conference and function rooms, whilst the medium sized ceiling roses can work well in drawing and dining rooms. Smaller ceiling roses can add style to bedrooms, or be placed away from the centre of the room adding an extra decorative touch.
