In order to achieve a restful atmosphere in any room, architects recommend indirect lighting. Uplighters have gained great popularity in the last twenty years, as homeowners move away from total reliance on single pendant lights in the centre of each room. The Orac range offers a wide range of design options for the discerning homeowner, whilst remaining equally suitable for stylish commercial interiors. Each uplighter features sharp distinctive lines made from durable polyurethane. Choose from simple contemporary curves, classical straight lines or the elaborate clam shell. Whichever wall light you choose, it has been covered with a coat of primer ready for final decoration. Another popular application for uplighters and diffused lighting is in Home Cinema. Rapidly growning in popularity, the Home Cinema benefits hugely from adjustable subtle lighting.
Indirect Lighting Cornice - As an alternative to traditional wall lights and uplighters choose from the 900 series Orac cornice mouldings. This system is equally effective in a home or studio environment. This option offers the benefits of indirect lighting hidden within a convex cornice. Choose between the C900 or C901 mouldings where a consistent light is required throughout the room. Maximum brightness will be achieved when used 170mm beneath a ceiling (measured from the top edge of the cornice), and where the ceiling is painted white. Try to avoid installing the cornice any higher, otherwise renewing bulbs may prove impossible! The cornices accept IL200 socket sets, into which 12 volt IL110 10 watt argon lamps should be installed. These should be installed in conjunction with a transformer (not supplied). Adhesives - the range of Orac adhesives and fillers can be found on the Adhesives page. Please be aware that installation of Orac products with non-Orac adhesives may invalidate the warranty.
